April 7 – SWOR Tournament
The annual SWOR Tournament in Caledonia is coming up. It will be Saturday April 7th, 2018 at the McKinnon Park Secondary School. More information and registration is on the MAPDA site. Regular classes are cancelled.
March 25 – Black & Brown Belt Kata Clinic
There will be a TKAC Black and Brown Belt Kata Clinic Sunday March 25 at 10:45 a.m. at the Shikomu Dojo.

2018 Shikomu Invitational Tournament
The Shikomu Karate Club, in affiliation with Traditional Karate Arts Canada, is hosting an invitational tournament on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Robert Bateman High School.
Doors open at 9:00. There will be a meeting at 9:30 for all black belts. Junior and intermediate competition starts at 10:00. There will be a break after the junior and intermediate divisions for medallion presentation. Adult competition and medallion presentation then follows.
For safety reasons, all competitors must wear a mouthguard, hand pads and groin protector during kumite (sparring). Any competitor not wearing this equipment will not be allowed to compete in kumite.
Fees
Fees can be paid to your instructor or at the door. Any cheques should be payable to Shikomu Karate Club.

On Saturday September 23, we held a tournament for the junior students. There were three divisions by age with students competing in both kata and kumite. Congratulations to all the competetors!
