Congratulations to our newest yellow belt who passed her in class grading!

Album.

First of all thank you to all who came and represented the club at the tournament. You were a credit to the club and it just shows that we have a great bunch of students. Thank you also to all the parents, family and friends who came to support.

I think this is the first time that I have been able to report that all who entered won a medal. Well done to you all. I can also report that both our Kyu-grade and Black Belt Kata teams won gold medals. You can all now take a well earned rest but remember that you have our Tournament on May 12 to prepare for!

Congratulations to Tom Okura on his promotion to 6th Dan by Kancho Takamasa Okuyama, 10th Dan. Along with the hand written certificate he also received the title of “Renshi”. Tom Okura is the Co-Chief Chief Instructor of Traditional Karate Arts Canada (TKAC) and a regular instructor at Shikomu.
